Here is a list of edible flowers that are relatively easy to find, and how they are best used in the kitchen.

apple blossom Apple blossom white, deep pink clean, tart desserts, salads
calendula Calendula orange, white mild peppery substitute for saffron
chive blossoms Chive Blossoms light purple mild onion salads, pasta, sautéing, butter
daylilies Daylilies yellow and orange asparagus sautéing
dandelions Dandelions yellow slightly bitter salads, sautéing; high in vitamins
dianthus Dianthus purple, red, white, pink sweet clove savory and sweet sauces, teas, jellies
hibiscus Hibiscus red mild citrus and cranberry teas, sauces, butter
honeysuckle Honeysuckle pale red, yellow sweet honey jellies, desserts
jasmine Jasmine white perfumed blossom teas, desserts
