Orange Cappuccino

Orange Cappuccino
Cappuccino, the Italian espresso with creamy steamed milk, is highlighted here with a citrus accent. Give your picnic thermos a shake just before serving to bring up more of the foamy milk to the top.

 

INGREDIENTS

1/4 cup half-and-half or whole milk
1/4 cup orange-flavored liqueur
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 cup, hot brewed espresso
2 cinnamon sticks, optional
 



METHOD

Combine the half-and-half, liqueur, and sugar in a small, saucepan coated with DuPont SilverStone® non-stick. Cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until scalded (do not boil). Combine with the espresso in a blender and process for a few seconds. Pour into an insulated thermos.

(Note: Don't own an espresso maker? Buy espresso at your local café or just make your regular coffee very strong and concentrated.)
