Grilled Artichoke and Roasted Red Pepper Sandwiches

Grilled Artichoke and Roasted Red Pepper Sandwiches Grilled Artichoke and Roasted Red Pepper Sandwiches  

The heat intensifies the flavor of the artichokes and further sweetens the roasted peppers. The melted cheese marries these tasty ingredients.
 
 

 

INGREDIENTS

1/3 cup honey mustard
8 slices crusty Italian bread
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup drained (unmarinated) artichoke hearts
1 1/2 cups roasted red pepper, cut into thin slices
 



METHOD

Spread mustard on 4 of the bread slices. Top each with 1/4 of the cheese. Divide the artichoke hearts among the 4 slices and do the same with a layer of the roasted pepper. Add the top slice to complete the sandwich.

Heat a grilling pan coated with DuPont SilverStone® non-stick. Place the sandwiches in the pan and cook about 3 minutes per side until golden brown.
