Usually,'Overheard
at the Bistro' covers the latest food news, cooking tips and other
interesting culinary ideas. But here's some news that highlights
not the bistro but the coffee shop. Sociology Professor Ray Oldenburg,Ph.D.,
professor of Sociology at the University of West Florida in Pensacola,
found that the coffee house is actually good for your health. The
cafe, he says, is the new favorite after-work hangout, replacing
the soda fountain of years ago - the place to go where you know
people and feel comfortable. It seems coffee bars are havens for
conversation and communication, whether it takes place between strangers,
family, or friends. A cup of tea, a latté, or a cup of coffee
can be an antidote to loneliness. Meanwhile, we hope our 'EasyCooking'
meeting
place offers you some good topics of conversation among your own
friends and family maybe you will even meet a new friend
or two through our site.
