Fly Away Fruit Fly!

As the fall vegetable season begins, we are still plagued by the fruit fly. This tiny creature is a nuisance in the kitchen that sometimes seems impossible to eradicate. Here's a tried-and-true remedy. Pour some apple cider vinegar into a small dish or jar, add a few drops of liquid dish soap and place on a kitchen counter. The flies are almost immediately attracted to the pool of liquid.
